It won't be a long post, because I have some work to do. But I wanted to show you the beaded crochet necklace I have finished recently. :)
It's made mostly with Toho seed beads and some Preciosa, since I couldn't find all the needed colours from the Toho manufacturer... The necklace is 40 cm (15,75") long and for once stringing the beads wasn't a nightmare. In fact it was simple, fast and easy. :)
The pattern is available for free here.
And this is how the necklace looks like:
Now, before I go, I'd like to say thank you for being with me. I love you all! :)))
See you next time! :)

Ssssssnakes ;)
When I found a pattern for the snake, I knew I would have to make it. It didn't even look like a beaded crochet rope, more like a real snake. It took some time though to make it - I started working on that necklace in the end of June, and I finished it just two days ago. Of course, if I had been focusing just on this piece, it would have been done long ago. Stringing the beads though was a nightmare, and this is what was stopping me from finishing it sooner. Over 9300 beads, tiny 15/o beads, have been used for this project... And now I am crazy enough to want to make a green one! ;)
The necklace is 40 cm (15,75") long.
And a close-up:
Unfortunately, I don't know the author of this amazing pattern. I found the snake here, so if it's you, Kseniya, who has drawn it, it's a great job done!
And as I am posting snakes here, there is one more beaded crochet rope with a snakeskin pattern, although not that realistic, as the first one. This necklace was actually waiting for six months to be finished. Started in January, finished in June. I guess I just had more funny things to do. ;)
It is made with 11/o Toho seed beads and is 42 cm (16,5") long.
Now, despite my plans on making another snake, I should get some rest from bead crocheting. I have got some wonderful Delica beads lately, so it's about time to try them out. :)
See you soon with some other beadwork. Good night! :)

The roses again...
It's quite late already, but I better post it now, since I might not have enough time tomorrow...
Do you remember the crocheted necklace with the roses? The one from this post? Well, it didn't look bad, but making it was a nightmare. I'd never make it again... but I knew that someone really liked it and wanted to have one for herself. It was hard to force myself to work with this pattern, I admit, but once I realized that I had only a few days left (it had to be done by August 17th - that's today!), I started working like crazy to make sure it would be finished on time. Still don't know how it has happened... but the necklace was completed within just three days. Yayyyy!! ;)
So, this is the necklace again... this time the roses aren't on a white background, but light beige instead. It is made entirely with Toho seed beads size 11.
I wanted the necklace to have an adjustable length, but adding a chain for that purpose didn't sound like a good idea to me. Not for such a thick rope at least. Below you can see how it has been solved. :)
This is the shortest version:
This one is slightly longer:
And this one a little bit longer than slightly longer ;)
And finally, the longest version.
During the last few days I have made two more gifts. One of them is another beaded crochet rope, simple but elegant for Julia, along with a matching bracelet.
The second gift is a small, simple pendant for Helene. She probably doesn't expect any gift, so hopefully it will be a nice surprise for her. :)
And in just a few hours all the gifts will be in a plane flying to Sweden...
I will stay with you though, because soon I'll have more beadwork to show. :)
Good night! :)

Pastel rainbow necklace
Busy with crocheting some other necklace, but in the meantime you can see some other beaded crochet rope I have finished recently. This one soon will go to a friend of mine, so hopefully she will like it. It's a thick one, made with 20 beads per row, yet soft and flexible. Made entirely with Preciosa seed beads size 11 and accompanied by two round jasper stones. The total length of the necklace is 43 cm (17").
Oh, the pattern isn't mine, it was found somewhere in the internet. :)
And as today is the last day you can join my giveaway, tomorrow you can expect the results. So see you until then. :)

Beaded flower - free tutorial
Finally! I admit it has taken lots of time for me to force myself to some working again. But now, as the spring is already here and the flowers are in bloom, the tutorial for a beaded flower, as I promised in this post, is ready and available to all of you. So enjoy. :)
1. Cut a comfortable length of thread and string: 1 x 6mm round bead, 1 x 8/o seed bead, 1 x 6mm round bead, 1 x 8/o seed bead, 1 x 6mm round bead, 1 x 8/o seed bead and cross the thread in the last bead strung.
2. Pick up 1 x 6mm bead, 1 x 8/o bead, 1 x 6mm bead with the left thread, pick up 1 x 6mm bead with the right thread, pick up 1 x 8/o seed bead and cross both threads in this bead. Repeat four more times.
3. Pick up 1 x 6mm bead, 1 x 8/o bead, 1 x 6mm bead with the left thread, pick up 1 x 6mm bead with the right thread and cross both threads in the nearest 8/o seed bead strung in step 1 as shown in the picture. As you will continue with one thread only you can make a knot to keep better tension.
4. Make sure that your thread is exiting from the 8/o bead and is directed towards the center of your beadwork. Pick up 7 x 11/o seed beads and pass through the next 8/o bead as shown in the picture. Then pass through the 6mm bead, 8/o bead, another 6mm bead and 8/o bead. Repeat the entire step two more times and at the end pass through the two first 11/o beads as it is shown in the picture.
5. Pick up 3 x 11/o seed beads and pass through the two 11/o beads on the other side (you are changing the direction now). Then pass through the 8/o bead, 6mm bead, 8/o bead, 6mm bead, another 8/o bead and two nearest 11/o beads as shown in the picture. Repeat the entire step two more times. At the end pass through the two additional 11/o beads so your thread is exiting from the 4th (middle one) 11/o bead.
6. Pick up 2 x 11/o beads and pass through the middle 11/o bead added in the previous step. Repeat five more times, adding 12 x 11/o beads in total in the center of your beadwork (left picture).
7. Pick up 1 x 8mm round bead and pass through the beads on the opposite side as shown in the middle picture. Push the just added bead gently inside the circle of the 11/o beads - the 8mm bead should be inside the 6mm beads, partially covered by the 11/o beads.
8. Pick up 1 x 15/o seed bead and pass through the next two 11/o beads as shown in the picture on the right. Repeat five more times, adding 6 x 15/o beads in total.
9. Pass through the beads so your thread is exiting from one of the 8/o beads and is directed towards the outer edge of your beadwork as it is shown in the picture.
10. Pick up 5 x 11/o beads and pass through the nearest 8/o bead.
11. Pick up 4 x 11/o beads and pass again through the same 8/o bead, creating a small loop above it.
12. Pass through the two nearest 11/o beads added in step 10.
13. Pick up 3 x 11/o beads and pass through the nearest 8/o bead as shown in the picture.
14. Pass through the three nearest 11/o beads added in steps 4-5.
15. Pick up 1 x 8/o seed bead, skip one 11/o bead and pass through the next three 11/o beads and the 8/o bead as shown in the picture.
16. Repeat steps 10-15 two more times.
17. Change the direction and repeat steps 10-15 three more times.
18. Your thread should be exiting from one of the 8/o beads. Pass through the nearest three 11/o beads added in the previous round as shown in the picture.
19. Pick up 1 x 11/o bead and pass through the next two 11/o beads.
20. Pick up 3 x 11/o beads and pass through the 8/o bead added in the previous round.
21. Pick up 3 x 11/o beads and pass through the two 11/o beads as shown in the picture, the 11/o bead added in step 19 and the next three 11/o beads.
22. Pick up 1 x 8/o bead and pass through the next three 11/o beads.
23. Repeat steps 19-22 five more times. At the end pass through the first 11/o bead added in this round.
24. Pick up 1 x 4mm round bead and pass through the 8/o bead on the opposite side (close to the center of your beadwork). Pass again through the just added 4mm bead, the 11/o bead your thread was exiting at the beginning of this step, and then through the next three 11/o beads and the 8/o bead as shown in the picture.
25. Pick up 3 x 11/o beads and pass again through the same 8/o bead. Then pass through the next four 11/o beads as shown in the picture.
26. Repeat steps 24-25 five more times. At the end your thread should be exiting from one of the 8/o beads added in the previous round (dark blue beads in the picture).
27. Pass through the nearest 11/o bead which is the part of the loop created in the previous round.
28. Pick up 5 x 11/o beads and pass through the two 11/o beads from the loop above 8/o bead on the outer edge of your beadwork as it is shown in the picture.
29. Pick up 1 x 11/o bead and pass through the other two 11/o beads from the loop.
30. Pick up 5 x 11/o beads and pass through the 11/o bead (closest to the hole of the 8/o bead) as shown in the picture, then pass through the 8/o bead.
31. Repeat steps 27-30 five more times.
32. End the thread, make and secure the knots and enjoy your new beaded flower.
This pattern works great as a pendant, a brooch, a part of a necklace or a bracelet - how you will use it, it is only up to your imagination.
And one more thing for the end... I hope you enjoyed making this beaded flower and the tutorial was helpful for you. I will be happy to receive some feedback, and if you have any suggestions what should be changed in this tutorial, feel free to contact me. If you are going to show this piece of jewelry on your blog or any other website, please give me a credit for being the author of this pattern.
Happy beading!

My favourite beaded donut again. ;)
Only not made with wax pearls, but fire polished beads instead. That has made it look a bit different. And more flat too, compared to the previous projects. The cherry beads used for it though are absoultely amazing! Not sure if I have ever seen the more beautiful shade of red really! Along with the hematite beads, they give quite a nice result, don't you think? ;)
As always, the pendant is 4cm (1,57") wide in diameter.
The second thing to show is a necklace. A 3cm wide, black matte lava bead bezeled with white Toho rounds size 11 and 15. It hangs on a beaded rope made with cubic right angle weave stitch - a very flexible one. The total length of the necklace is around 60 cm (12"). The rope however can be worn alone too.
So, that's the necklace:
And a close-up:
Next time there will be some bracelets... or maybe beaded core beads? I haven't decided yet. ;P

Roses are red...
They can be pink too, they can even be a beading pattern it looks like. ;)
So here's a beaded crochet rope, a thick one, 25 beads per row, with a rose pattern, and more than 6000 beads in total... You can see a necklace here, but there's a bracelet made with this pattern too... only somehow I can't force myself to make a clasp for it. ;P Hopefully I can make it soon. ;)
The pattern for this necklace has been created by myself. So you are free to use it if you want. If you click on the picture below, you can download a dbb file with this pattern. The image file of the pattern is available here. So, enjoy. :)
Last time I promised some tatting too... So there's a tatting collar, a simple one, made from Anchor Arista thread, color #316. Something for the New Year's Eve, thanks to the glitter I think. ;)
And the last for today, a necklace that has been made some time ago, only I haven't shown it on here until now. Inspired by one or Weraph's lariat necklaces. I haven't copied her work though as I have used some different colours of the beads (except of the silver lined teal beads, that she has used for her project too) and added a clasp. Still her work was a great inspiration to me. I only hate the picture, it should have been better really! Oh well, despite that, still I can show it to you. ;)
Lots of work, since the necklace is 120cm (47") long, and I have worn it maybe two or three times... what a waste! ;)
Anyway, see you soon again. :)

Just another donut pendant... and a little thief ;)
It's been a long time since the last entry... Well the illness doesn't really help me in updating this blog more often, it doesn't mean though that I don't do any beading at all. In fact I do lots of beading, since it is more or less the only thing that helps me to relax and doesn't make me too tired either... So, there's a few new things for you to see. :)
As the title says, another beaded donut has been made recently. In fact it is more or less exactly the same pattern as the one from here, only with some different beads - oval spectra beads 11x8 mm, and some different embellishment too. And they do make quite a difference, don't you think? ;)
The other side of this pendant looks almost the same. But only almost. ;)
The pendant measures 4,5 cm (1,57") in diameter.
And since I got to like those beads quite much, I have used them for some other project too. A simple necklace with a core beaded bead, that can be slided up and down on the ropes, so it can be worn in a few different ways. It has been quite a challenge though to take a picture of it... It's all because a certain black devil has appeared out of nowhere...

The devil was generous enough though to allow me to take some more pictures before she had taken the necklace with her. Thank you, devil, for being so kind! ;)
So, this is how the necklace can be worn:
And the core bead (3,3cm long and 2,5cm wide) looks like this:
And soon there will be another blog entry with some new beadwork for you to see. :)

Some more beaded donuts and a crochet necklace
Only some other pattern this time. Two beaded donut pendants made of glass wax pearls, fire polished crystals and seed beads. They are double sided (both sides look the same) and measure 4 cm (1,57") in diameter. Not much else can be written about them though... it's just better to see them, so here they are: :)
The necklace however is just a mere beaded crochet rope, accompanied with three beaded balls. It is 112 cm (44") long, made entirely of Preciosa dark grey, silver lined seed beads, and it can be worn in a few different ways. The two of them shown below are just an example... the necklace gives some more possibilities too.
And, the last thing for today... A beaded crochet bracelet that was strongly inspired by Chudibeads' projects. She makes beautiful beaded ropes, you have to admit! My bracelet though is a bit simpler... and yet it is one of my favourites at the moment.
So, enjoy and until the next time. :)

The project of my life ;)
At least until I make another one, I suppose. ;)
Well, I'm not a good planner. At least when it comes to jewelry. Whatever I plan to make, it turns out to be something completely different. From a simple pearl pendant to the project of my life? Of course it is possible! ;)
So yes, it was just started with a simple tiny beaded pendant, a glass pearl embellished with some black silver lined Czech seed beads and metal antique gold 3mm round beads. When I made it however, I wasn't really satisfied with it... there was something missing, only I didn't know what. Putting it inside a peyote three-dimensional open square perhaps? Why not, it was worth to give it a try. And so it has worked. ;)
Okay. So I had a pendant. But did it really fit as a pendant? Still it wasn't something I expected, wanted something more. If not a pendant, then a part of a necklace? Sounded like a better idea. But what should I hang it on? Seed beads? Wax cord? Beaded crochet rope? Couldn't really decide... Maybe all of them then? ;)
So there is a wax cord, and there is a beaded crochet rope too. Seed beads combined with more antique gold metal balls don't look too bad together I suppose. At least it made me quite satisfied with it.
And this is how the necklace looks like:
It couldn't remain a single piece of jewelry though, so decided to make two matching bracelets, of completely different style, and a pair of earrings. Was working for almost three days on them all... but I hope it was worth all the work.
Hopefully someone will like it enough to become an owner of this set. ;)

And this is how the necklace looks like:
It couldn't remain a single piece of jewelry though, so decided to make two matching bracelets, of completely different style, and a pair of earrings. Was working for almost three days on them all... but I hope it was worth all the work.
Hopefully someone will like it enough to become an owner of this set. ;)
