The roses again...

It's quite late already, but I better post it now, since I might not have enough time tomorrow...

Do you remember the crocheted necklace with the roses? The one from this post? Well, it didn't look bad, but making it was a nightmare. I'd never make it again... but I knew that someone really liked it and wanted to have one for herself. It was hard to force myself to work with this pattern, I admit, but once I realized that I had only a few days left (it had to be done by August 17th - that's today!), I started working like crazy to make sure it would be finished on time. Still don't know how it has happened... but the necklace was completed within just three days. Yayyyy!! ;)

So, this is the necklace again... this time the roses aren't on a white background, but light beige instead. It is made entirely with Toho seed beads size 11.

I wanted the necklace to have an adjustable length, but adding a chain for that purpose didn't sound like a good idea to me. Not for such a thick rope at least. Below you can see how it has been solved. :)

This is the shortest version:

This one is slightly longer:

And this one a little bit longer than slightly longer ;)

And finally, the longest version.

During the last few days I have made two more gifts. One of them is another beaded crochet rope, simple but elegant for Julia, along with a matching bracelet.

The second gift is a small, simple pendant for Helene. She probably doesn't expect any gift, so hopefully it will be a nice surprise for her. :)

And in just a few hours all the gifts will be in a plane flying to Sweden...
I will stay with you though, because soon I'll have more beadwork to show. :)

Good night! :)

"Ribbon" - tutorial for a beaded bracelet

While I was away from the online world, somewhere between painting the walls, killing monsters in Baldur's Gate Enhanced Edition, getting stabs in my stomach (stupid injections, you can't really call them any different way :/ ), crocheting a new necklace, going for 10 km long walks with the Red Beast and worrying about poor little sick Leon I managed to do some beading! I forced myself to do some work eventually and even prepared a tutorial...

So this is "Ribbon", because my crazy imagination sees ribbons in the embellishment:

It is made with 8mm glass pearls, SuperDuos and seed beads, size 11 and 8. Fast and easy to make, it is 2 cm (0,78") wide.

The tutorial is available here on Etsy and Craftsy.

Hopefully I'll find more time for beading soon. :)

And one more beaded bracelet...

...but it's the last one. No more bracelets waiting to be shown to the world. There are only a few pendants left. ;) So soon the blog will be flooded with pendants again - hopefully you can survive it. ;)

This bracelet however is a simple one, but still quite eye-catching, considering that a few people have commented on it when I was wearing it. It is made with tile beads, SuperDuos and Toho rounds size 11 and 8. Easy and fast to make really, something that even a beginner can handle. ;)

The pattern is available on Etsy.

Gothic Crosses. Two beaded bracelets

To be honest these two bracelets were made back in April, so it's quite some time already. For some reason they haven't been published here so far, it's about time to fix it! They are made with almost the same pattern, they only differ a bit with the final embellishment. Both are made with 6mm glass pearls, SuperDuo beads and Toho seed beads in three sizes. They are 2,5 cm (1") wide.

The pattern for the bracelet is available in my Etsy store.

Dragonflies. Beaded beads and bracelets.

I know, I know, they don't really look like dragonflies. But if you take a look at the ornament made with SuperDuo beads, it does look like a row of tiny dragonflies... or is it just my crazy imagination? ;)

Anyway, a new beading pattern is ready and available in my Etsy and Craftsy stores, for both a beaded bead and a matching bracelet. They are made with CzechMate Tiles, SuperDuo and 11/o Toho beads. The pendant measures 2x2,5 cm (0,78x1"), and the bracelet is 2 cm (0,78") wide.

A bit time consuming, but still I have made more than one piece with each pattern. And I'm planning to make even more... ;)

For now though let me show you the set:

And both pieces separately:

Plus another beaded bead...

...and another bracelet. Actually, my favourite one! For this one I have used some magatama drops too.

Yep, it looks like I have finally started making something more than just pendants... and there will be more bracelets appearing on here soon. So until the next time. :)

Reversible beaded bracelets

It has been a long while since the last entry... I neglected the blog a bit because of the damned treatment... I am sorry though that I have neglected your blogs too... but that will change once I regain my usual energy, I promise. :) Still I tried to do some beading during the last weeks - well, even a chemo can't stop me from doing that, after all. ;)

So, there are quite a few things that are currently waiting to be shown on here. I will start with the two oldest ones though, reversible, double-layered bracelets. They are different on both sides, so you actually have two bracelets in one.

They are made with 6mm, 4mm and 3mm round beads as well Toho seed beads size 11. They are 1,8cm (0,70") wide. And the pattern is available, as always, on Etsy and Craftsy.

More bracelets... and pendants (of course!) soon. :)

Queen of Fire, Queen of Ice - beaded beads and bracelets with tutorials

Queen of Fire. Gold and rubies.... if such a queen had ever existed, I hope she would have been willing to wear such jewelry. Her sister, Queen of Ice hopefully would have chosen a set made with cold silver and sapphires. But such queens don't exist, so both sets are mine! ;D

The bracelets and matching pendants are made with wax pearls, SuperDuo beads, Toho 11/o and fire polished beads in two sizes. The beaded bead that works as a pendant is 3,7cm (1,45") long and 2,7cm (1,06") wide, the bracelet is 2,5cm (1") wide. Both patterns are accompanied with tutorials. :)

So, here's the set for the Queen of Fire:

And both sets together. :)

The patterns are available separately and in a set in my Etsy and Craftsy stores.

And I am going to say goodbye for now... and a couple of more days. The next chemotherapy awaits me, so wish me luck... and hopefully I'll see you soon again. Hugs to all of you! :)

A pendant again... and a few bracelets

I was supposed to write this entry yesterday... but of course I was too busy with beading. ;)

So some bracelets for you to see, but I'm afraid that a post without a pendant wouldn't be really complete in this blog - it's a must, you know, and sometimes I feel like the blog should have been called Eridhan's Pendants instead. It's a miracle you still don't find it boring to visit it. ;)

Okay, so starting with the pendant then. Not a small piece it is, as it measures 5,5cm (2,16") in diameter and it consists of... oh it would be easier to say what it doesn't consist of. There are wax pearls, magatamas, Czech and Toho seed beads size 15, 11, 9 and 8, crackle oval beads, faceted glass cabochon... and I was making it for quite a few hours. Strange really that I managed to finish it, considering that I needed more than one day to do that, and usually I'm too impatient to work on something I can't complete in 3 hours at the most. ;)

But it has been finished and it looks like this:

beaded pendant

The bracelets however were definitely faster to make and they are quite boring if you ask me, just the simple beaded crochet ropes, except of the first one, a macrame bracelet with a central motif inspired by "Seven Sisters" pattern. The beaded part was actually made a few month ago, only recently I have decided to make it as a part of the bracelet. It measures 3,5cm (1,37") in diameter.

So leaving you with the bracelets... and going to work on another tutorial. This time it will be the beaded cube from this post, so stay tuned. :)

Beaded crochet bracelets

After some beadweaving, it was finally time to do some bead crocheting instead. So here I am with two bracelets - one with the rose pattern, matching the necklace from this post, and another one, more geometric. The first one is a bit wider, 25 beads per row, while the second one is made with only 20 beads. Both are flattened, as this is the way that I like wearing them. Also, both are made entirely with Toho size 11 seed beads.

So here they are:

And separately:

As you can see, the second bracelet is different, depending on which side is up while wearing it. Unfortunately, the colours of the silver-lined milky beads used for this bracelet, despite their beauty, tend to wear off. They had to be protected in order to avoid it happening, so hopefully I can enjoy this bracelet for longer. ;)

And if you want to use the pattern for your project, feel free to do that. It is available just below. :)

In the next entry I will return to bead weaving though... So see you soon again. :)
